- The Labour Plan window can be accessed by selecting the Labour Plan tab at the bottom of the Projects - Fee/Budget Plan window.
- It is used to forecast the cost of a service/project, based on calculating the potential cost of labour incurred by the business. Even before the availability of specific staff members for a project is known in detail, you can assign a grade to a particular task. This allows you to begin to apportion how much of the project will be undertaken by different grades of staff.
- The labour cost is then allocated using the Project Grade Console which calculates the average cost rate of staff members by grade.
- The labour budget plan combines fee budgeting information collated from
the Workstage’s window in order to forecast labour cost against labour budget.

How to assign labour
- It is necessary to select a grade for each row within a Workstage, using the dropdown:

- Add and remove rows by Workstage by using the + and x icons:

- Then you need to populate the number of days you require for each individual. This can either be set by weeks or months, however we advise that you decide on this at the beginning of the project and stick to that one throughout the duration of the project.

- This will then start calculating the Total Cost and Total Charge for that individual on the Workstage.
- If required, you can enter in a brief description at the beginning of the row in relation to the work.

- It is not necessary at this stage to enter each staff member. However once known, you can select the Staff members name from the dropdown.

*Please Note: The forecast cost and charge rate will still link to the grade and not the staff member.
