• This sits in its own tab inside the HR section. This allows staff to capture their skills and experience, in a format which is easily searched and reported on. It replaces the old free text fields, and helps you answer such questions as:
    • When planning projects, which staff have the skills and experience you need?
    • What skills gaps do you have?
    • Which staff might be able to act as skills mentors?
  • You can define your organisation’s skill categories, such as:
    • Languages
    • Computer Software
    • Sector Experience
    • Roles Worked In
  • For each of these, you can define a subcategory (eg French, German), and the user can enter their level of competency, experience and qualifications. For example:
  • There is a tool in the Control Panel (Human Resources > Skills Matrix) which allows you to configure the skills, sub-categories and qualifications that are relevant for your organisation:

Reports

There is a HR report “Skill Matrix” which allows you to report on and filter staff skills:
